Prototyping, Interaction Design
SiriusXM is constantly evolving their satellite music service. Working with Ziba over the course of several engagements, I built a series of prototypes to help determine the right interaction model for multiple new features.
Working with the design team at Ziba, I built a fully-functioning prototype of the SiriusXM web player with several planned new interactions incorporated and ready to use. We tested with a series of users who fit the target audience for the application. Testing validated certain interactions and allowed for the iteration of others resulting in an experience dialed-in for the SiriusXM subscriber.
SiriusXM’s MySXM feature enables listeners to personalize their SiriusXM music channels by customizing the types of music they want to hear. I built a series of prototypes that allowed for variant-testing of different interface concepts. With working prototypes, we were able to test the concepts with real users, rapidly discovering what interactions worked and which didn’t.
By creating highly interactive prototypes, we were able to vet and validate key interactions before implementing them into SiriusXM's platform. Prototyping helped Ziba and SiriusXM make design decisions more effectively.
I have had the pleasure of working with David on a few projects. He is my go-to contractor for prototypes, as he is able to elegantly translate the visual designer's comps into high quality prototypes while collaborating with them to perfect motion and transitions.
David always made my life easier by being highly communicative, reliable, and professional. I would recommend David to anyone in need of prototyping and/or kinetic interaction design, and look forward to working with him again in the future.
